The very first Elemental
Today, I’m sharing with you the very first Enchanted Elementals who emerged on paper. This was a crucial moment in my life and at the time I had no idea what was to come. It was summer of 2004.
One evening, I placed my pencil on the paper and began to draw an eye. After a bit of time I had this face staring back at me. I was shocked. I found myself asking her “Who are you?” Next thing I know, I’m writing a name at the top of the page. Isis. I just sat there, stunned. I had no idea who Isis was or why I drew this face on that night.
I was so excited that I turned the page and began another drawing. The same thing happened. After a bit of time, a face was staring back at me. Again, I asked her to tell me who she was. I wrote her name at the top of the page. Ionca. I sat there completely confused and enthralled at the same time.

I’m sharing this story because a few days ago I realized how important these first two elementals are to me and to the development of my career. A few days ago, as I sat wondering what on earth am I going to do with the Enchanted Elementals, it occured to me that I needed to ask the ones who initially appeared to me so many years ago. All this time, the premise behind the Elementals is to ask them to hold space for you to amplify your inner voice, your intuition, to find the answers you are seeking, and I wasn’t playing along.
Well, I’m playing now. I excuvated them from the book they’ve been sitting in, waiting for me, to finally remember. They’re hanging in my office nwe staring back at me, reminding me of the work I’m here to do. I want to say thank you, to Isis and Ionca for their patience, love and inspiration.
